The Government of Ras Al Khaimah has unveiled a high-tech system for tracking in real time daily attendance of public sector employees and clampdown on violators

The new system will ensure compliance with the official working hours.

Government employees who fail to adhere to the official timings will have their salaries cut automatically, said RAK Human Resources Department deputy director-general Badriya Al-Mazroui.

The RAK authorities have started implementing the new hi-tech electronic system for compliance.

The new electronic system is called ‘Our Resources’ and has been programmed to monitor all public sector employees though biometrics, reported local Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm.

The device is programmed to deduct salaries of the employees for any violation with regards to the official timings.

The RAK Human Resources has also announced that it will stop using papers in its transactions and start using the new e-system in 12 government departments in the emirate.

Al-Mazroui said that the new system will cover 44 RAK government services.
